The word I would use is <strong>fantastic<\/strong>. Before funny pipe came onto the market the only way to reposition sprinkler heads was a tedious exercise of pipe cutting, inserting a PVC tee or elbow, and then using cut-off nipples to get the sprinkler head just the right height and flush with the surface of the turf. With funny pipe all you need is a couple of barb adapters, the funny pipe, and some tubing cutters.<\/p>\n<p>Benefits include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Easy installation for lower labor costs.<\/li>\n<li>Installs quickly.<\/li>\n<li>Superior flexibility allowing pipe to be routed around hardscape, terraces, and uneven terrain.<\/li>\n<li>Kink resistant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inside diameter: 0.49&#8243; (1.24 cm)<\/li>\n<li>Operating pressure: Up to 80 psi (5.5 bar)<\/li>\n<li>Temperature: Up to 110\u2070 F (43\u2070 C)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are a homeowner who does a lot of sprinkler repairs yourself, this is a must have addition to your sprinkler parts. In the years I have been using funny pipe I have only had it blow off a barb adapter once, and that was because I bought some after market adapters that weren&#8217;t as good as the Rain Bird spiral barb adapters. I have never had the funny pipe blow off the Rain Bird adapters. I have also heard that you can blow up a sprinkler head before the funny pipe will blow off an adapter. I don&#8217;t know if this is urban myth, but I&#8217;m inclined to believe it. So my advice is to buy Rain Bird funny pipe and absolutely buy the Rain Bird adapters to go with it.<\/p>\n<p>Pros &#8211; Ease of use and installation.
