In the years I have been doing xeriscapes, I have tried a lot of different weed barriers from many different companies. The best barrier I have come across is Pro 5 weed barrier by Dewitt. Many of the cheaper less “thick” weed barriers degrade in just a couple of years and then it becomes necessary to do the tedious process of removing the mulch or stone from the top of the barrier, removing the degraded barrier, and re-installing a new barrier. I have had this weed barrier installed on projects for 8 years, and it is still holding up great.
