Rainbird 5004 Sprinkler Rotor

iScaper Rating

See my YouTube video on how to adjust a Rainbird 5004 rotor and my YouTube video on how to install a nozzle on a Rainbird 5004 rotor.

Features:

  • Rain Curtain technology.
  • Large water droplets for wind resistance.
  • Even watering over the entire radius.

What I like about this rotor is that is comes with a nozzle tree with four low angle nozzles that water at 10⁰, and eight more standard throw nozzles that water at 25⁰, and I can adjust the distance I want to water from just over 20′ to 50′. Also, when I encounter yard that has too many sprinkler spray heads on a sprinkler zone I can use these rotors to retro-fit the zone, because I can nozzle these heads down to 1 gpm (gallon per minute) if I need to. That way they use less water than a typical spray head and will water a greater distance. The nozzles also go up to 8 gpm (gallons per minute) if I want to water bigger turf areas.

Top arc adjustment requires only a flat screwdriver, but get a green Rainbird Rotor Tool so you can pull up the shaft to install the nozzle.

Pros – Versatility and durability.

Cons – None I have run into yet.

  1. Hey there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

    1. I am currently using WordPress, so I don’t think I can be much help. So far I haven’t encountered any of the problems you are describing.
