This 6-Station Indoor 2-Program Sprinkler timer is “easy” to program and operate with the digital LCD screen and dial. With up to 8 start times per day, it is ideal for new lawns and drip irrigation to prevent run-off. The watering schedule can be set to certain days of the week or intervals from 1 to 28 days to water for 1 to 99 minutes. It also features a one-touch rain delay button to postpone watering 24, 48, or 72 hours when it rains.

  • 6 station watering
  • 2 programs with day of the week or interval watering
  • Up to 8 start timer per program
  • Station watering time 1-99 minutes

In the timer description I have put in quotes the “easy” in the description I obtained from Orbit. There is nothing easy when programming these timers. Most timers I run into are in the homeowners garage, basement, or other dimly lit locations. This timer has a small flashing cursor that shows you where in the programming cycle you are at. I often times have to take a flashlight with me so I can light up the display in order to see the cursor so that I can program the timer.

Setting the program is neither easy nor intuitive. Multiple steps are required to accomplish the programming. There are much better timers on the market.

Pros – These timers are relatively inexpensive compared to other timers.

Cons – Small flashing cursor that is hard to see, not intuitive, and requires multiple steps to program. Reliability and durability is an issue also. I replace a lot of these timers.
